Two more people have been arrested in connection with a robbery at Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals were injured by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, according to law enforcement.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a woman, 23 was detained for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.
These detentions follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the attack, two women had stolen from them their luggage upon exiting a parking garage elevator.
A three-year-old girl was one of the those hurt in the event. Five people were taken to the hospital for medical care and have since been discharged.
Police arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of theft and assault near the scene. He was subsequently released under investigation while inquiries continue.
Authorities were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding several people injured by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.
The assault - which authorities stated was a standalone incident and not considered an act of terror - resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park briefly.
